The Past Always Crawls Back
Before Little Lasha went missing… before Lashy found herself dodging stink bug grenades and decoded messages… there was history. Long before bug bars and back-alley deals, Eyebrows crossed paths with the Caterpillar Hitman Twins in the halls of insect high. The tension started young—and never truly molted away.
This week on Twisted Tuesdays: As The Lash Burns
The screen fades in with static and a whisper:
“Daddy?”
Little Lasha’s voice echoes, followed by a flicker of light—then darkness again.
Boom.
Cut to Lashy barging into her bestie’s hideout, wild-eyed and breathless. “They have her. She was on the screen. She called for him—Mr. Wiggles.” Her bestie drops her mug of nectar. “You think… he’s alive?”
Lashy shakes her head. “I don’t know. But I do know who’s got her.”
Cut to: Eyebrows.
He’s in an abandoned tunnel beneath the city, spreading a crumpled map across a pile of moldy acorns. “Tar Pits,” he whispers. “Figures.”
He stares off for a moment, jaw twitching.
“They always liked the dark.”
Flashback: A faded photo—Eyebrows and the Caterpillar Twins in a school hallway. The twins were always dressed the same—slicked-back antennae, silk-thread vests, smug grins. Eyebrows stood off to the side, bruised and glaring. Even then, they were bad news.
“They weren’t just bullies,” Eyebrows mutters. “They were training. And Mr. Wiggles? He was their mentor… until he switched sides.”
Cut to: The Cocoon Syndicate Lair.
Little Lasha sits quietly, drawing spirals in the dust. One of the Caterpillar Twins leans against the wall, arms crossed, watching her.
“She doesn’t even know,” he says.
The other twin replies, “Doesn’t matter. We don’t need her to know. We just need her mother… and Eyebrows to show up.”
Twin One smirks. “Never liked that guy. Even in school, he thought he was better than us.”
Twin Two leans in closer, whispering darkly,
“Let’s not forget why we really took her. The truth about Mr. Wiggles would crush her. Especially if she found out he was working with Eyebrows.”
Cut to: Dottie and Cruz, gearing up behind the bar at The Dotted Line.
Cruz: “If we don’t intercept those twins, they’ll feed Little Lasha to the Syndicate and burn the rest.”
Dottie: “Then let’s give them a show they won’t forget.”
Back to Lashy, staring at the same map Eyebrows once held. She turns to her bestie. “Pack your wings. We’re going to the tar pits.”
Are the Caterpillar Twins hiding a deadly truth about Mr. Wiggles? Can Eyebrows and Lashy put their differences aside to save Little Lasha? And how far is Dottie willing to go to blow up the Syndicate’s plan?
Next week, betrayal goes deep—like six feet in the mulch. Only on Twisted Tuesdays: As The Lash Burns🔥
